Mansfield gets hit with 19 inches of snow

MANSFIELD, Mass. (WHDH) -- Mansfield was buried under about 19 inches of wet, heavy, tough-to-move snow on Friday.

“It’s a pain. I did not expect to come home at six o’clock and be shoveling snow,” said Taylor Younis.

But again, people are trying to dig out.

“It’s a little heavier than even we got the 24 inches previously I'm afraid it’s actually gonna ice up later on,” said Chris Teixeria.

The roads are becoming more snow covered and slick.

“You get into the small areas where the roads are hard to get to and the side streets, they're packed with ice and snow,” said one man.

Kids were out Thursday night playing in the snow and building snowmen.
