Scituate issues storm advisory

The town of Scituate issued a storm advisory Friday morning:

We are experiencing strong impacts from the 7:56 a.m. tide. Most coastal areas have heavy flooding and there continue to be evacuations. For your safety please stay away from these areas. The heavy wet snow is causing isolated power outages and some downed trees. Please be prepared if your power goes out. The DPW is out clearing roads but the snowfall and wind conditions are making it difficult. Please stay off roads if you can. Tides this evening and tomorrow morning will continue to affect us. Please continue to check the Town’s website and WATD for updates and call 9-1-1 only for emergencies. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
