MSPCA-Nevins Farm Pet of the Week: Petunia the dog
Two-year-old Pit Bull mix Petunia is the face of rescue. This small dog was living as a stray and likely had one or more litters outside before she was found by a good Samaritan and brought to the MSPCA-Nevins Farm.
Now that she’s spayed and up to date on all of her shots she’s far more adoptable! And she is making great progress with basic training and obedience skills. Petunia has a minor skin condition that causes the skin on her face to become dry and scaly, but is easy to treat and keep in check. Moreover, she has slightly diminished eye sight so she’ll need a careful and caring owner willing to give her the love and support that she needs.
Staffers feel her ideal home will be one in which she is the only pet. She’d do well with older children in a generally quiet and calm home.
