MSPCA-Nevins Farm Pet of the Week: Roxy the cat
Three-year-old Roxy the cat has been at the MSPCA-Nevins Farm in Methuen, Mass. since just before Christmas 2012 -- a very long time for a cat to be in an animal shelter. It’s true what they say: It’s hard to be an all-black cat because it takes longer for these kitties to find homes! Roxy is super sweet and friendly with velvety black fur and golden almond-shaped eyes. She is still quite young and has many healthy years ahead of her. She loves to play and is the ultimate “people cat,” who is always moving in for snuggles and to curl up in a lap.
Roxy strongly prefers to be the only pet in the household. Older kids who know how to handle a cat would be welcome and if an adopter is someone who works from home Roxy would make for the perfect and adoring companion to keep that person company all day long!
