MSPCA-Angell Pet of the Week: Mickey the Dog
At nine months old, Pit Bull mix pup Mickey is just getting started and now all he needs is a home! This sweet-natured dog is as playful as he is well-trained. He can sit and lay down for a treat and with some additional obedience training – classes that the MSPCA-Angell offers for dog adopters – he’ll only get smarter.
Mickey loves to play and is very active. So lots of outdoor time: hiking, running, walking is on order for the right adopter. He’d do best with someone who loves an active lifestyle and wants a canine friend for company. But rest assured, Mickey also loves nothing more than to curl up on the couch and nap the day away—preferably with a human companion. Mickey enjoys the company of other dogs but has never met a cat before. All introductions to other pets should be made gradually. Mickey is up to date on his shots, neutered and is in perfect health. And like all pets adopted out of the MSPCA’s three shelters in Massachusetts, he will be microchipped prior to going home.
