Hernandez writes about his daughter in jailhouse letter
BOSTON (WHDH) -- Another jailhouse letter from former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez was leaked online. In the letter, Hernandez admits that spending time behind bars has started to take an emotional toll on him.
The letter, obtained by Radar Online, was sent from Hernandez to a fan. In the letter, he talks about his 9-month-old daughter saying, “She said daddy (for the) first time or should I say “Da Da” and (I) had to hear it from jail”.
He went on to say that his biggest fear of all is that his daughter will grow up not knowing her father.
Hernandez is currently being held without bail on first degree murder charges in connection with the death of semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. Hernandez has pleaded not guilty.
In the letter, Hernandez maintained his own innocence and called himself a “great dude”.
Hernandez went on to thank his jailhouse pen pal for his support. He signed the letter with the number 81 -- the number he used to wear on his uniform.
