Several Mass. K-Marts report bomb threats
SAUGUS, Mass. (WHDH) -- Six Boston area K-Mart stores were put into lockdown Friday night after receiving similar threats.
According to police locations in Acton, Braintree, Lowell, Milford, Saugus and Somerville all received phone calls in which the caller asked for a specific type of clothing before threatening the store with a bomb if he didn’t get the clothing he was looking for.
Authorities say similar incidents have been reported at K-Mart stores across the country in recent months. The FBI is currently investigating the threats.
All of the Massachusetts stores were swept and police determined them to be clear.
