3 robbed in Milton after responding to Craigslist ad

MILTON, Mass. -- Police are hunting for two male suspects who they say used Craigslist to attack and rob three people.
Three people told police they drove from Rhode Isalnd to a home on Randolph Avenue in Milton with well over $1,000 in cash. They were answering an ad from Craigslist to buy a television from the suspects.
According to investigators, the two male suspects pulled a gun on them, and robbed them of their belongings, including the money they brought along to buy the TV.
“They had come to this resident to purchase a TV, which they had seen posted on Craigslist,” said Milton Police Chief Wells.
According to police, one of the victims decided to go inside alone to make the purchase.
“Once inside, they took him at gunpoint, assaulted him over the head and locked him in the bathroom,” said Wells.
Police said the two other victims who were waiting outside in the car were ordered inside at gunpoint, and one of them was beaten.
The victims were then ordered out of the apartment, the suspects then fled the area, and the victims ran to their car and called 911.
An ambulance responded to the scene, but the victim refused treatment.
Police are investigating the connection between the suspects and the Milton home. The suspects don't live at the home and the first-floor apartment there is vacant. Police sources told 7NEWS that officers have responded to that address before for unrelated crimes.
Though that apartment was vacant, Milton police believe the suspects may have once lived at the property, or have some attachment to it.
The two suspects are now on the loose.
Police remind people to use caution when buying and selling items from Craigslist. They advise to make transactions in daylight, around people.
