BOSTON -- Former President Bill Clinton was in Boston on Thursday, campaigning for Congressman Steven Lynch, and spoke to locals on his daughter Chelsea’s wedding in New York this coming weekend.

As preparations continue for Chelsea’s wedding, the FAA is making historic Rhinebeck, New York a no-fly zone on Saturday.

Chelsea will marry investment banker Marc Mezvinsky at Astor Courts, an elegant 50 acre estate on the Hudson, about 90 miles north of New York City.

Reportedly, an A-list wedding planner from Boston is handling all the details for guests rumored to appear, including Steven Spielberg, Ted Turner and Barbra Streisand.

The extravagant wedding is rumored to have cost between $3 million and $5 million.

While Chelsea and her mom Hillary try to keep a low profile, President Clinton traveled to Boston to speak on behalf of Steve Lynch.

He did not mention the wedding, however it came up as President Clinton worked the crowd.

“I said ‘I know what Hillary’s wearing, I know what Chelsea’s wearing. What are you wearing?’ he says, ‘Whatever they tell me,’” said Frank Daly, who spoke to Former President Clinton.

One woman offered her congratulations.

“He said, ‘Thank you, thank you. I’m very excited’ and I said ‘Will you please sign for me?’ He signed for me, Bill Clinton,” said Hong Liu, who also spoke to President Clinton.

Former Mayor Ray Flynn, who served as ambassador to the Vatican during the Clinton years, showed off his grandchildren, and told President Clinton he can look forward to having his own grandchildren soon.

“He said to me, ‘Look, I’m just lucky to be here, I’m just glad to be here’ I said ‘Your Chelsea’s father’ he says ‘When these two ladies get together, it’s their show’” said Former ambassador to the Vatican Ray Flynn.

President Clinton talked about the state of our country and his feeling that Congressman Lynch should be re-elected to be part of the solution.
