YMCA to train staff on breastfeeding law

BOSTON -- Officials with the Greater Boston YMCA will train 1500 employees on Massachusetts' breastfeeding law.

According to the Boston Globe, the decision was made after a Medford mother was told by a worker at the Woburn YMCA to stop breastfeeding her child earlier this week.

Elizabeth Gomez says she was told she was violating the YMCA's policy.

The YMCA says the employee who spoke with Gomez has been disciplined.
