Man slams vehicle into grocery store

AYER, Mass. -- A man from Ayer is recovering after slamming his vehicle into a Hannaford Supermarket early Friday.

His vehicle ended up in the freezer. Police say the man crawled out of the back of his car.

He was taken to the hospital.

He is expected to be OK.

The store was heavily damaged.
