NORFOLK, Mass. -- A condominium unit explosion in Norfolk was a close call for the real estate broker who had sold that unit, as she was on the property when it exploded on Friday.

That broker was on another area of the complex, however she heard the explosion, and decided to drive over to the scene of the accident.

According to her, she was planning on going into that unit before the explosion happened.

“I’m real lucky because that’s where my next place was, into that unit. It’s part of the reason I’m so upset because that’s where my next step was. I just spoke to another broker and he asked me if I had my keys to get in there, and I said ‘Yes.’ And he says, ‘Well we’re gonna go in there are take a look.’ There was an issue, and we wanted to look at something on one of the cabinets, it’s not a big deal, it was a cosmetic thing,” said the real estate broker.

There is another condo unit that is attached to the one that exploded. The home owner was inside when the explosion happened, and has no comment at this time. That woman was shaken up, but will be fine.
