We imagine that 9-year-old Luca's arrival at the MSPCA-Angell Adoption Center in Boston on May 15, 2012 must have been a shock. This sweet kitty had only ever known a safe and loving home life, but he ended up at the shelter when his previous owner's newborn baby developed an allergic reaction to him.
Luca is incredibly laid back and loves to be petted. He is the classic "purr motor" and enjoys nothing more than chin scratches and gentle pets behind his ears. He’s great with new people and will happily seek them out when they come to visit. That said, he's quite independent and will happily entertain himself with some catnip or a mouse toy -- perfect for anyone who has to work but still wants the companionship of a cat.
Luca doesn’t have a history of living with other cats or dogs -- and while the MSPCA believes he’ll do fine with them, Adoption Center experts still recommend a slow introduction period to ensure a successful placement should Luca go to a home with other pets.
Because Luca is already neutered he is ready to go to his new home today.
