Severe storms move through the area, flood streets

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Storms moved into the area Wednesday afternoon and were expected to continue into the evening.

Isolated storms caused heavy rains, severe thunderstorm warnings and watches and a brief tornado warning.

Heavy rains caused street flooding on the North Shore. Massachusetts State Police warned drivers not to drive through flooded areas. Flooding on the North Shore is expected to recede after the storms move through (after 9 p.m.).
