Great white shark spotted in Chatham
CHATHAM, Mass. (WHDH) -- A 20-foot great white shark was spotted leaving Chatham Harbor Thursday morning.
The harbormaster ordered swimmers out of the water and closed Lighthouse Beach in Chatham.
It has been an active summer for great white sharks on Cape Cod causing several beaches to close.
A man was bitten earlier this summer near Truro. It was the first shark attack on Cape Cod in more than 75 years.
