CONCORD, N.H. (WHDH) -- Slick, icy roads across New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts have delayed or closed school and created a dangerous morning commute.
Cars were sliding into intersections on Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service said patchy, freezing rain was still possible throughout the morning. But temperatures were rising and ice was starting to melt.
The weather service said temperatures were expected to be mild, with highs in the mid-40s to low 50s, followed by gusty winds late Wednesday through Thursday. A strong cold front then moves through on Thursday morning, with moderate to heavy rain expected.
