Saugus, Chelsea declare snow emergencies

BOSTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Multiple Massachusetts cities and towns declared snow emergencies ahead of Friday’s blizzard.
A snow emergency was scheduled to go into effect in Chelsea at 10 a.m. Friday morning.
Thursday, the town of Saugus declared a snow emergency and a parking ban:
Town of Saugus Snow Emergency
Parking Ban: NO PARKING on any Town Street
Effective Friday, February 8, 2013 12 Noon until Sunday, February 10, 2013 6 p.m.
Any vehicles obstructing snow removal efforts may be TICKETED and TOWED at the owners expense
Additional parking will be available at the Saugus High School if you need to get your vehicle off the streets.
The Veterans School, Hurd Avenue will be used as an Emergency Shelter if needed.
