Cell phone storm tips

BOSTON (WHDH) -- Having your cell phones ready to go is a big part of being prepared for a storm.
Cell phone tips:
-- Use text messaging
-- Limit non-emergency calls
-- Charge your wireless devices
-- Protect your phone from the elements
AT&T recommends using text messaging during an emergency.
Texts go through faster, than voice calls because they require less system resources.
They also said you should limit your non-emergency calls to conserve battery life.
Don’t forget to charge your phones or wireless devices before the storm arrives and always protect your devices from the elements.
