NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- A Sunderland man has been charged with stabbing another man at the home of his former girlfriend, then releasing some kind of chemical in the apartment.
Twenty-three-year-old Keo Bun was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday in Northampton District Court.
Bun allegedly entered the Northampton apartment late Tuesday night and stabbed the man several times. Police said the victim, whose name was not released, was hospitalized with injuries that aren't considered life threatening.
The woman was unhurt.
Police said Bun fled the apartment after dispersing a chemical substance that police did not immediately identify.
Investigators were trying to determine if a dead cat found in the apartment may have died from exposure to the chemical.
Bun was arrested in Easthampton.
