Art teacher charged with assaulting student

CLINTON, Mass. -- An elementary school art teacher has been charged with assaulting a student.

The attack allegedly happened inside the Clinton Elementary School at 100 Church Street.

According to court documents, Cynthia Rochford, 52, grabbed a student by the arm and pushed her against the wall while others watched.

She was charged with assault and battery and placed on leave from the school.
