CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Authorities say the fatal shooting of a Cambridge man at a Harvard dorm this week was a drug-related robbery.

Twenty-year-old Jabari Jordan Copney of New York City pleaded not guilty Friday in the Monday shooting of 21-year-old Justin Cosby of Cambridge. He was ordered held without bail.

District Attorney Gerard Leone said at a news conference before the court hearing that Cosby had been selling drugs to Harvard students and knew Copney through two female students, neither of whom has been charged.

Leone said more than a pound of marijuana and $1,000 in cash was found near where Cosby was shot. He said Copney and two friends traveled to Harvard Monday with the intent of robbing Cosby. He said the other two men returned to New York City and remain at large.
