Mass. Marine killed in Afghanistan

YARMOUTH, Mass. -- A Marine corporal from Yarmouth who's the son of a town police officer has been killed in Afghanistan.

Yarmouth police say Cpl. Nicholas Xiarhos was killed earlier this week.

Xiarhos is the son of Yarmouth Lt. Steven Xiarhos.

The 21-year-old Xiarhos is a 2006 graduate of the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High school.
