STOUGHTON, Mass. -- There are new details in the mauling death of a pet at a doggy daycare in Stoughton.
The town of Stoughton's building commissioner said that the business, Tails-In-Motion, was operating illegally.
Records show the home-based operation was approved as a dog walking service, but lacked the special permit needed to run a daycare for pets.
Animal control officers said one family's 20-pound Shih Tzu puppy was left unsupervised with four other large dogs at the daycare.
It was unclear which dog attacked and killed the puppy.
The daycare is not commenting on the dog's death.
