Trench fire forces evacuation of frat houses in Cambridge
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Four fraternity houses were evacuated Wednesday morning after a small fire started in a nearby underground trench.
The fire broke out when a construction crew hit a gas main on Memorial Drive.
Fire officials had to shut the gas line down first before they could put the fire out.
No injuries were reported, and the residents, who were MIT students, were eventually let back in their homes.
