BOSTON -- An accused terror suspect from Sudbury is now facing new charges.
Tarek Mehanna faces ten new charges, including conspiring with two other men to carry out attacks on U.S. soil. Officials said one of those conspirators is believed to be in Syria.
New photos were released showing Mehanna in New York City, smiling at the Ground Zero World Trade Center site with friends.
Authorities said Mehanna planned to kill two prominent politicians, and shoot people at shopping malls.
He also allegedly wrote about his admiration for Osama bin Laden, comparing him to a father figure.
Mehanna's family has denied all claims that their son is a terrorist.
