Doctor stabbed at MGH released from hospital
BELMONT, Mass. -- The doctor injured in a stabbing at Massachusetts General Hospital was released from the hospital on Monday.
Claude Desrosiers, the husband of Dr. Astrid Desrosiers, said that his wife is not talking much, but she had a message for her patients.
"She wants all of her patients to know that she loves them and she will be back to be with them," said Claude Desrosiers.
On Oct. 29, Dr. Desrosiers was stabbed repeatedly at her office by a patient at Mass General's Psychiatric Center on Staniford Street. The patient, 37-year old Jay Carciero of Reading, was then fatally shot by Paul Langone, an off-duty security guard who rushed in to help.
Claude said said his wife is doing better every day and she cannot wait to get back to work.
