FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The MBTA driver who pulled up short to save the life of a woman who fell on the tracks of the Orange Line earlier this month will be honored at Gillette Stadium Sunday.

Charice Lewis will attend the Patriots game against the New York Jets this Sunday and will be honored as the Patriots “Coach of the Week.”

She will also get to watch the two teams warm-up on the field.

On Friday, Nov. 6, a woman stumbled off the Orange Line “T” platform at North Station as the subway train, driven by Lewis, approached rapidly.

Others on the platform waved their arms to get Lewis’ attention. Lewis was able to stop the train just inches from the woman’s face.
