BOSTON -- Tom Cruise showed some love for the Hub on his Web site.

The actor sang praises to the city after his recent movie shoot with co-star Cameron Diaz in and around the Boston area.

Cruise’s comments were gracious: "To the wonderful people of Boston...thank you for your warmth and hospitality during our incredible stay here...We absolutely love Boston."

Local residents were thrilled to hear the actor enjoyed his stay.

"You're welcome and thank you Tom Cruise for coming here and shedding some light on us, thank you Tom Cruise," said Bostonian.

Cruise continues to gush, getting specific about the city and talking about treasured memories at local landmarks.

“Duck Tours, the museums, restaurants, gorgeous parks..." and "our unforgettable runs around the St. Charles River."

The St. Charles River?

It sounds like Cruise may need a lesson in local landmarks, but Bostonians are willing to forgive the actor for his slip-up.

"We can cut him some slack, but just remember it's the Charles River the next time you come down here Tom Cruise," said a local resident.

The movie has moved on from Boston to scenic Salzburg, Austria.
