Meeting to put USS Constitution's cannons under fire

BOSTON -- Charlestown residents will get to sound off on a noisy custom Tuesday.

Every morning and evening, the USS Constitution fires its cannons and plays the national anthem.

The ceremony is a long-standing tradition, but some nearby residents have complained about the noise.

A meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus at 75 W. School St. in Charlestown to allow residents to voice their opinions.
