Stores see holiday shopping rush ahead of snowstorm

WRENTHAM, Mass. -- Many residents rushed to finish their last-minute holiday shopping in light of this weekend's snowstorm.
“We’ve been here since about 10 o’clock this morning, and we got a lot more to do today,” said one man, still shopping at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets after sunset.
“I’m not coming outside tomorrow! I’m going to be in my house… with the heat. Merry Christmas!” exclaimed another female shopper.
Shoppers aimed to take advantage of holiday sales before the storm arrived.
“I have a 3-week-old, so I didn’t want to take him out tomorrow if it’s snowy. So I figured get it done today,” said one mother.
Bambini’s gift shop in Wrentham were happy about the brisk business Saturday but were concerned shoppers might stay home the rest of the weekend.
“It’s a little scary. We’ve seen a little more busyness today than we anticipated. I’m just glad it’s not Christmas Eve. It’s the busiest time, a lot of men last-minute Christmas shopping,” said Tammy Giordini, a Bambini’s employee.
Wrentham Village Premium Outlets plans to plow the area so that shops like Bambini’s can remain open Sunday despite the snowstorm.
