Man shot in Jamaica Plain convenience store

BOSTON -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting at a convenience store in Jamaica Plain.

Officials responded to a call just after 3 p.m. Saturday at the Tedeschi's Food Mart on Center Street. They found a man on the floor suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, where he later died.

Witnesses said a suspect fled the scene just after the shooting.
