Barnstable police seek alleged puppy pilferers

BARNSTABLE, Mass. -- Police in Barnstable are searching for three suspects who allegedly stole a puppy from a mall pet store two days before Christmas.

Two men and a woman asked to play with the 9-week-old black and white border collie.

Employees left to attend to a problem with another dog. When they returned to get the collie, the three people and the dog were gone.

The puppy was later found on Old Mill Road and was returned to the pet store.
