Shrewsbury murder suspect's sister arraigned

WESTBORO, Mass. -- The second person arrested in connection with the murder of a Shrewsbury woman appeared in court on Monday.
Lisa Ricardo, 38, of Raynham, has been charged with accessory after the fact and two counts of reckless endangerment of a child.
Her brother, Keith Rosiello, was charged with murdering his wife Maureen as well as child endangerment.
Authorities said Ricardo admitted to arriving at the house around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday and hearing her brother and sister-in-law get into a physical altercation.
Ricardo allegedly told police Keith obstructed his wife’s airway to get control of her and that her hair was matted to her head with blood.
Rather than call for help, Ricardo and her brother tried CPR, fell asleep, and woke up the next morning to find Maureen Rosiello had died.
Police said Ricardo cleaned up the house while her brother waited until nearly 1 p.m. to call 911.
“Rather than summonsing help or taking any other action, she and her brother essentially cleaned up the apartment, cleaned up the scene, began taking other actions...washing the walls, boarding up the windows...all of this had taken place with the couple’s 12-year old and six-year old children in the home,” said Worcester County Assistant DA Anthony Marotta in court on Monday.
Ricardo’s attorney, who described her as a well-educated woman who has run a medical equipment business, said she strongly denies the charges.
“She’s very, very concerned. It appears, to me at least, that she may have been instrumental in talking her brother into turning himself in, contacting an attorney, and doing the right thing,” said Ricardo’s attorney.
Ricardo is being held on $20,000 bail. Her attorney believes she will make bail Tuesday morning but will be on house arrest with an ankle bracelet. Her brother is being held without bail.
The Rosiellos have two children, ages 12 and six. They are now in the custody of the State Department of Children and Families.
