LYNN, Mass.-- A judge in Lynn allowed new evidence to be admitted in connection with the disappearance of a 5-year-old boy.
The lawyer for the boy's father, Ernesto Gonzales, tried to suppress evidence found at his client's apartment. He argued that the searches violated Gonzales' rights. The judge ruled that concern for the child's safety was enough for the search.
Giovanni Gonzales went missing in August 2008. Ernesto Gonzales claimed he killed his son but has only been charged with kidnapping and misleading investigators.
