Coldest weather of season on New England doorstep
UNDATED -- A blast of Arctic air could make us forget all about that mild weather we've had this winter.
The National Weather Service is warning of dangerously cold wind chills tomorrow night and Friday in southern New England.
Forecasters say the coldest air mass of the season will arrive on gusty northwest winds, driving temperatures down into the single digits and producing a wind chill index of 15- to 25-below zero in some areas.
In addition to the bitter cold, residents of Cape Cod and the Islands could also see some ocean-effect snow tomorrow night.
