BOSTON -- There was no bingo at an elderly complex in Jamaica Plain after someone dispersed pepper sprays.
Residents of Woodbourne Apartments called 911 when people began to feel ill during bingo night.
"We started coughing," Priscilla Seqeira, resident, said. "Everybody at the table stated coughing. We didn't know what it was. But we knew there was something in the air, somebody did something."
Firefighters tested the room and discovered that someone has sprayed pepper spray into the room.
Nine people were treated for breathing problems; three of them were taken to Carney Hospital.
Police are investigating the incident, saying that no arrests have been made. Residents however believe that they know who did it.
"There was two patrons that was sitting over there, that live here watching TV," Seqeira said. "Before we got up to move, they got up and moved."
