FBI heads to London to search for Whitey Bulger

UNDATED -- FBI officials headed to London hoping to pick up the trail of wanted mobster whitey Bulger.

Bulger, the former head of a Boston crime ring, once stayed in a hotel there in 1994.

He was later spotted in Piccadilly Circus in 2002.

A recent sighting of Bulger and his longtime girlfriend, Katherine Grieg, in Italy turned out to be false.

Bulger is facing 18 counts of murder and is on the FBI’s most wanted list.
