Two killed in four-car accident

WAREHAM, Mass. -- A car driven by a woman who was apparently suffering from an unknown medical emergency crashed into another vehicle in Wareham, killing two woman from Bourne.

Thirty-eight-year-old Jayne Hill and 44-year-old Kelly Downing died in the crash.

Wareham Police Sergeant Douglas Jacinto says a car driven by 61-year-old Carol Ducey of Wareham was reportedly operating erratically Thursday morning on the Cranberry Highway around 9:30.

After striking a van and SUV, Jacinto says Ducey's car slammed into a car waiting to exit a restaurant, killing the two women.

Ducey was airlifted to a Boston hospital with unknown injuries.

The nature of the medical condition she was suffering from just before the crash is under investigation.
