Two killed when SUV rolls over on top of Volkswagen
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The driver and passenger of an SUV were killed early Sunday morning after the vehicle spun out of control and landed on top of another car.
The accident occurred just after 5 a.m. Sunday morning near the intersection of Routes 2 and 16 in Cambridge.
Police say 60 year-old Vytautas Narkevicius of Somerville lost control of the SUV, hitting a pole and rolling over on a Volkswagen stopped at a red light westbound on Alewife Brook Parkway.
Narkevicius and 59 year-old Mary Narkevicius were declared dead at the scene. A male passenger was seriously injured.
The female driver of the Volkswagen received minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
