Teacher's aide faces child enticement charge

WINCHESTER, Mass. -- Authorities say a teacher's aide at a Winchester middle school is facing child enticement charges.
Police allege that Christopher French used online conversations in a failed effort to entice a 13-year-old girl into having sex.
Lieutenant Peter MacDonnell says police searched French's Winchester home, and obtained evidence leading to his arrest. MacDonnell says French is a special education teaching assistant at the McCall Middle School.
The 28-year-old French pleaded not guilty at his arraignment yesterday in Woburn District Court and was released on $5,000 cash bail.
French's lawyer, David Mortenson, says he expects his client to be exonerated. He is due back in court on August 8th.
