Casino cruise liner sold at government auction
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (WSVN) -- The Sea Escape sold to the highest bidder Thursday at the Broward County Courthouse.
An investor bought the ship for $3.5 million and then sold it an hour later for a $100,000 profit. He said he will donate the extra earnings to a homeless shelter.
The government seized the boat back in August after crew members sued for unpaid wages and Sea Escape went under.
