Mashpee firefighter rolls truck off pinned neighbor

MASHPEE, Mass. -- An off-duty Mashpee firefighter saved his neighbor's life when he rolled a pickup truck off the man's arm and chest.
Stephen Bold tells the Cape Cod Times he heard screams on Tuesday afternoon and rushed to neighbor Michael Rose's house about 300 yards away to find Rose pinned under a truck he had been working on. Bold rolled the truck off Rose, administered first aid, then called for an ambulance.
Bold says Rose was under the truck for about 15 minutes.
The 55-year-old Rose was flown from Cape Cod to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he was listed in critical condition on Tuesday night.
Mashpee Fire Capt. Joseph Fellows says Bold probably saved his neighbor's life.
