Photog closes doors; Newlyweds without wedding pics

LOWELL, Mass. -- Local newlyweds could not wait to return from their honeymoon to see the pictures from their wedding day, but they have yet to see a single photo because their photographer closed his business.

Kathleen and Bob Gauvreau tried to get in touch with Bob Pare, their wedding photographer, when they returned from their three-week honeymoon, but he could not be reached.

All of Pare's numbers were disconnected and his store front was cleaned out.

"It was heartbreaking to say the least," Kathleen said. "Where do you turn? Who do you go to?"

The Gauvreaus paid $2,100 for wedding pictures and a video, but do not have either.

According to Bob Pare's attorney, the quick close of business was a last resort.

There are nearly 20 couples who have been affected by Pare's going out of business, according to his attorney. She said almost everyone has received their CD at this point, but the Gauvreaus are still waiting for theirs and are considering legal action.
