Remains found near home of missing man
WORTHINGTON, Mass. -- Human remains have been found in a wooded area near the home of a Worthington man who went missing in April.
State officials have not made a positive identification.
However, Pete Anderson, the man who found the remains and some clothing on Friday, told the Daily Hampshire Gazette that he recognized the clothing as belonging to 64-year-old William Guidi, who lived nearby.
Guidi was known for hiking in the woods to photograph wildlife.
Guidi's son, Benjamin Guidi, says the remains have been sent to Boston for identification and he did not know if they were his father's.
