Man shot dead in Boston home where party was held

BOSTON -- Boston police are investigating the early-morning shooting death of a 36-year-old man in the city's Mattapan neighborhood.

Police said the man was found with multiple gunshot wounds early Christmas morning inside a home on Harvard Street, where witnesses said a large party had been taking place. The victim was later pronounced dead at a Boston hospital.

Police say they will protect the identities of any party-goers who wish to come forward with information about the shooting.
