LOWELL, Mass. -- A nurse at Lowell General Hospital is facing arraignment on charges that he groped a female patient last week.
Police say Alex Kinyanjui, 29, of Chelmsford is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over.
He was arrested Friday night and posted $2,500 cash bail after his arrest. Police began investigating last Wednesday after they were contacted by the alleged victim. Police did not release the age of the woman or any further details about the case.
Hospital spokeswoman Amanda MacFadgen says Kinyanjui was placed on leave pending the outcome of the case.
Kinyanjui could not immediately be reached for comment.
