BOSTON (WHDH) -- The snow and wind created quite the challenge for pedestrians Sunday afternoon in Boston, but that didn't keep people indoors. For many, there was more clean-up to do and for others, it was a chance to make the most of the winter weather.
A week removed from the blizzard of 2013 came a not-so-subtle reminder that winter is far from over.
In Boston, where crews spent all last week clearing roads and sidewalks they're starting over again; another coating means another clean-up.
Logan Airport reported a snow total of five inches, although not all parts of the city saw that much.
In Chinatown, the snow didn't stop the annual lion dances, celebrating the start of the Chinese New Year.
On the Common, a family visiting from Atlanta got an unexpected treat.
“We thought maybe we'd get a dusting, we knew there'd be some leftover from last week, he was very excited,” said Kara Dimino, from Atlanta.
Like last storm, strong winds accompanied the snow. In Woburn, a huge tree toppled over onto some power lines. Neighbors, clearing their driveways, watched the tree go down.
“I heard the cracking, and that's what made me look over. It landed on some power lines and we just moved our cars over so they wouldn't get hit by it,” said Jeff Horton.
Unlike the blizzard, the cleanup won't take as long. The sledding is just as good though, especially if someone else is pulling you up the hills.
After last weekend, what's another couple inches of snow?
“At some point you just get used to it. What do you expect, sunshine all year long? Forget it,” one man said.
