Harvard students petition for napping spot

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WHDH) -- A student proposal could make nap time a reality at Harvard.
The student petition asks the school to create a spot in Harvard Yard for students to take naps.
It grew out of the idea that students don't get enough rest.
Not everyone is convinced it's a good idea.
“But I feel like it would be kind of weird if people were just kind of napping in the same room. I don't know. That would just weird me out. But that's just me,” said Kelley Guinn, a Harvard freshman.
“You know I think it's pretty cool, I see, every so often, people fall asleep in the library, and it's sort of inconvenient. And if you live far away from the yard you live far away from where your classes might be to go back in the middle of the day, I know people often talk about taking a nap,” said Sam Singer, a Harvard senior.
The petition was one of three that has been given to the dean for consideration.
