Locals still on edge following FBI announcement
DORCHESTER, Mass. (WHDH) -- The neighbors of 8-year-old Boston Marathon bombing victim Martin Richard said they are glad the FBI released pictures and video of two suspects Thursday, but are still worried for their safety.
“They hurt a lot of people. People have died, people are injured, and it just doesn’t make any sense,” one woman said. “I feel good that they have suspects because whoever did this should absolutely be caught.”
“It lets you know they’re doing something, they’re getting after it -- this is not something that’s going to disappear,” said David Senatus.
In the latest FBI news conference, agents say there is no current threat that they are aware of, but that doesn’t calm the fears of people in Dorchester. But with the release of photos of suspect one and suspect two, neighbors say they feel somewhat better.
“Hopefully they’re the people who are responsible so we can get them off the street,” another woman said.
