Woman sees bullets fly through Watertown home
WATERTOWN, Mass. (WHDH) -- Gunfire exploded on the street as police and the suspect exchanged gunfire. During the gunfight, neighbors woke up and heard gunshots and saw bullets flying into their homes.
7News spoke with a woman inside one home. She heard all of the noise and the gunshots and called 911. She said all they could tell her was to get down, get low and stay away from windows and doors. When she was able to look up she saw bullet holes in her home and shell casings on the ground.
One bullet hole was very low, in the front entranceway and went through three walls into the home. She had been sleeping in a nearby bedroom. Another bullet hole was low and near to the bedroom.
“I just heard like the gunshots really, really loud and then I heard the explosion. I was just, like, I freaked out. So, I called 911 and they said, ‘We don't want to freak you out but there's a shooting right outside your house. You need to get down and get away from doors and windows.’ I just heard explosion after explosion. So, I crouched down in my doorway and I saw the bullet come from here through there,” said the woman.
“It was so scary, it was so loud,” recalled the woman.
